Speeding up Adobe Reader and TPS Report
I hate how Adobe Reader seems to take forever to load, when you just want to have a quick look at a PDF. Apparently most of that startup time is spent loading plug-ins that no one uses. With that in mind, you can speed up the process significantly by removing all those plug-ins, and leaving only the bare essentials. What to do:
1. Find your Adobe Reader's plug-in directory. Mine was located at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins
2. Remove all the files in the directory EXCEPT: EWH32.api, printme.api, Search.api
That's it. You may wish to backup the directory, in case you ever have to deal with digital signatures or something else out of the ordinary. Now you can load your TPS reports faster.

Added a web calender. (click link to the right) It uses a php based application cleverly named WebCalender. Of course, I have no appointments to add to it now, but maybe someday... It's supposed to act as a server for iCal and Mozilla Sunbird, so I could see it replacing my palm pilot.

...That Scruffy Beard...
This made me smile. Maybe someday I'll be one of those condescending Unix computer users.
